Just to hand, news that former west Coast captain Ben Cousins has been suspended indefinitely from his club for apparent ice addiction.
The serial troublemaker has been in more off-field hot water than any other player I can think of. With current Captain Chris Judd out of contract at the end of the year, the powers that be down at the Eagles will be doing anything and everything in their power to clean up the club, and hope that Judd stays.
Already there is talk that Judd is refusing to resign for next year and beyond until the club cleans up its act. The Eagles are in deep trouble, with not only Cousins in trouble, Kerr under multiple charges, Gardiner shipped off to the Saints, Chad Fletcher’s “death” in Las Vegas, but now revelations that Norm Smith Medallist Amdrew Embley and Daniel Chick have had a violent bust-up in the club rooms.
For the sake of the Collingwood Football Club, I’d love to see the Eagles in trouble, Judd come to Collingwood, spend a year with Bucks in the midfield and go on to become a 200 game player for the Club!
